The growing demand for multiple applications for tarps has triggered an association name change for the organization that represents tarp manufacturers. The members of the Truck Cover & Tarp Association (TCTA) recently voted to change the name to Tarp Association, which reflects a diversification of tarp use to include agricultural tarps and covers, construction, daily waste tarps, poly tarps, garden, sports, field covers, marine covers; and gym floor covers in addition to truck covers and tarps.
