On July 16-17, 2010 the manufacturer of tools for the production of textile surfaces Groz-Beckert KG, Albstadt/Germany, celebrated the opening of the Technology and Development Center (TEZ) with guests from industry, science and politics as well as customers and partners.
With an investment of € 70 million, the TEZ was completed in autumn 2009 and covers a total area of 25,000 m2, of which 14,000 m2 of floor space. 5 pilot plants for the various textile manufacturing processes embroidery, weaving, felt, tufting and stitching, and the Groz-Beckert laboratory are available for research, development, application support and training. In addition to laboratory services for various industries, there is also a field laboratory for the new study "Textile Production Technology - Technical Textiles" position.
